The Summer is almost through but Chestnut Hill Village has amazing events lined up so you can finish the summer out with a bang!!!

ATLANTIC CITY BUS TRIP (8/26)

Well…you asked for it! Chestnut Hill Village will be taking another day trip to Atlantic City to try our luck at Show Boat Casino, Tuesday August 26th . Boarding will begin at 9:45 and we will depart from Chestnut Hill Village PROMPTLY at 10AM from the leasing office entrance.  Please be on time boarding in both Philadelphia and in Atlantic City!!! Light breakfast will be served in the business center beginning at 9:15AM. The cost of the trip is $20 which includes roundtrip transportation on an extremely comfortable coach bus provided by Krapf's Coach. Upon arrival you will receive your $20 back, so the cost of the trip is ABSOLUTELY FREE! If you don't gamble there is still plenty to do such as stroll the board walk, visit the many gift shops and boutiques (including the outlets and the new Pier Mall), get a thrill at the beachside amusement park, or soak up the sun on the shores of Atlantic City. Whatever you choose to do, I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time. Last month was fantastic!!!  For tickets and more information please contact Christine at (215) 242-3500. FIRST FRIDAYS IN CHESTNUT HILL (8/1)

As part of serving the needs of their customers, Chestnut Hill Businesses have committed to OPEN Friday nights until 8 p.m.  Chestnut Hill stores will be OPEN FRIDAY nights throughout the summer and fall.  So come out and support the businesses on the Avenue and enjoy a night out with your neighbors.  Heck, you may just want to be seen on the avenue as it is one of the 7 Best Urban Enclaves in the USA, as designated by Forbes Magazine.   Enjoy your evening!

SUMMER SATURDAYS EXTRAVAGANZA (Every Saturday in August)

The summer is coming to an end. There’s only a month left of sun and fun by the pool so why not enjoy it to the fullest. Every Saturday in August (weather permitting) CHV will host our weekly Summer Saturdays Extravaganza! All residents are welcome and encouraged to come to the pool from 12-3pm to enjoy BBQ, Great Company and Live Musical Entertainment by the Jeff Trochan Jazz Trio. If you wish to invite guests, please be sure to stop by the management office to purchase your guest pool passes. Seating by the pool is limited to be sure to get there early. Hope to see you all in attendance.

CHESTNUT HILL VILLAGE GARDEN CLUB (8/5)

Want to get involved in beautifying your community? Come join the CHV Garden Club.  We will meet on Tuesday August 5^th from 6-7pm in the Business Center Located on the ground floor of the Summit Building. Flowers and gardening supplies will be provided for all club members from local Chestnut Hill Gardening shops at a special price exclusively for CHV.

Time to bring Happy Hour outdoors!!! Need a bite to eat after a long days work?  Come and join your fellow CHV residents for Hamburgers, Hotdogs, Refreshments and Good Company. BACK TO SCHOOL

On Tuesday August 12^th, the leasing and management staff will be collecting School Supplies to support local students in need. Please bring all donations to the Management Office from 9am-7pm. Suggestions of supplies (lose leaf paper, pencils, rulers, glue, glue sticks, notebooks, pencil boxes, 3 ring binders and of course marble composition books).

BREAKFAST ON THE GO!!! (8/13)

It’s here again… BREAKFAST ON THE GO! Don’t have time to pick up breakfast? Let the staff help you get off to a good start!  Stop past the leasing center entrance for your choice of delicious gourmet complimentary muffins, cereal bars and assorted juices.  Look for balloons!

B.Y.O.B. Bingo Night (8/14)

It's the activity that's taken Chestnut Hill Village by storm, BINGO!!!  Join us in the business center (ground floor of Summit Building) at 7pm for our popular Bingo Night.  It's always free, always a good time, always refreshments, and of course always great prizes.  If you've played with us before, you know how much fun it is so be sure to invite your neighbors. TEXAS HOLD ‘EM TOURNAMENT (8/15)

It’s time to bring some excitement to CHV!!! Chestnut Hill Village will be hosting our 4^th Texas Hold’em Tournament Friday August 15th starting at 7pm in the former fitness center of the Summit building. Professional dealers will be conducting the tournament so be sure to get your skills and poker face ready. Last month was a blast.  SUNOCO GAS CARDS WILL BE AWARDED to winners of the tournament. If enough participants RSVP, two tournaments will take place. Refreshments and snacks will be served. If you would like to be a part of the tournament please contact Christine at (215) 242-3500 ext. 207 ASAP as seats for the tournament are limited. Spectators are welcomed and encouraged to attend. Informative Personal Injury Workshop (8/19)

Unfortunately, what you don’t know can hurt your pockets in the area of personnel injury. Come to the business center on Tuesday August 19^th from 7-9pm to learn what some attorneys and physicians don’t want you to know. In one hour you’ll be well informed and will be able to solidify in your minds that “Personal Injury Doesn’t Really Have to Hurt”. Hosted by CHV resident Aaron Palmer.

Beat the Heat…Don’t let the Heat Beat You!!! Stop by the pool on Wednesday August 20^th for a real treat…. Delicious Water Ice and Soft Warm Pretzels from Rita’s. If you wish to bring guests, please be sure to stop by the management office to purchase your guest passes.

Get Healthy with NONI JUICE (8/27)

Tahitian Noni Juice comes from the morinda citrifolia fruit, found in the South Pacific region. The claim is that natives of the region have used it for their health for thousands of years. Ladies, it’s due time for a pampering session!!! Looking to get pampered and finally find quality beauty and skin care products at a great price.  Please join your fellow CHV neighbors for an evening of pure relaxation, skincare tips and beauty presentations. Champagne Wishes and Strawberry kisses will take place Thursday, August 28^st  starting at 7pm in the Business Center located on the first floor of the Summit Building. This will be a night of pure bliss and tranquility. All attendees will also enjoy champagne and strawberries!!! Hooray!!! It’s that time again when we, the staff of CHV, get an opportunity to show you, the CHV residents, how much we value you at the ANNUAL CHV RESIDENT APPRECIATION BBQ & POOL PARTY. Our Jamaican Chef Henry will be back with his mouth-watering “jerk chicken” and scrumptious BBQ ribs with all the Jamaican side dishes.

“Anthe”, our Caricaturist will be back drawing those crazy pictures of any resident who wants one; along with DMO Productions who will provide the music and games as usual. Don’t forget our vendors who will be here with lots of info and freebies for you and your guests along with some very special door prizes.

You must RSVP by August 15^th by calling Romaine at 215-242-3600 to reserve your ticket for this great event. All CHV residents are invited to attend “free” of charge, and you may invite guests. Please note, guests (anyone over 5 yrs old) will have to pay a $5.00 guest fee to attend.
